Understanding the Challenge
Our client needed a simpler way to turn invoice information into delivery data.
Previously, the team had to manually transfer details from multiple invoices into our warehouse management system, Mintsoft. This took up hours each week, created unnecessary admin and increased the risk of mistakes from entering the same information twice.
We saw an opportunity to make the process easier by connecting their accounting software directly with Mintsoft.
Building a Solution Around Our Client
Rather than asking the client to change the way they worked, we built a custom Chrome extension to fit their existing process.
Using API calls, the extension pulls the relevant information from QuickFile and transfers it into Mintsoft with just one button press.
It automatically captures:
- Customer company name
- Delivery address, with a warning if the postcode is missing
- Line items, including SKU, description, quantity and unit cost
The Impact: Less Administration, Fewer Errors
By automating data entry, the extension saves the client hours of manual work every week. It also removes the need to enter invoice information twice, reducing the risk of errors and making the process of preparing deliveries much more efficient.
With the required information transferred directly into Mintsoft at the touch of a button, our client can spend less time worrying about admin and more time focusing on running their business.
